Despite Mazda’s track record of consistently winning top safety pick awards and an impressive suite of safety features, Mazda needed to remind Canadians that protecting drivers is their top priority and one they take very seriously.
To do it, we turned a traditional in-app mobile banner into an advanced safety warning feature for all drivers. We partnered with Waze, a mobile GPS application, to serve up warnings to drivers approaching any of the 20 most dangerous intersections in Canada. By tapping into drivers coordinates, we reached drivers at a time when a little reminder to put safety first, could go a long way.
